Community Service

Post 4658  provides many types of support to the community.   This includes

**In conjunction with the Auxiliary and the Veteran's Outreach Center, we provide  for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and a $500 gift certificate to a military family in need who has one parent deployed.

 **We hold Euchre tournaments to provide donations to people in the community who are battling cancer and for families who have lost a loved one.  

**The Auxiliary supports the National Home for Children in Michigan, our Veterans Outreach Center and our VA Medical Center in Canandaigua.  

**We support Richard's House (male veterans) and Priscilla's House (female veterans) emergency shelters for homeless veterans.

**We participate in the Stop 22 Walk-A-Thon to raise awareness of veteran suicide

**We have donated money to the Veteran's Outreach Center to support Operation Safe Haven, the Blue Star Mothers for their baby shower and to help out the local family of a little girl fighting cancer.

**We support the Patriot's Pen, an essay contest for 6th, 7th and 8th graders that encourages young minds to examine America’s history, along with their own experiences in modern American society.
